I am the firm.  The one thing that I have always prided myself on is that I am what you get.  I will collaborate with you giving you my expertise and experience and will accept with a very open mind what you, the client, have to offer.  After all, it is your matter and there is no one that knows the facts and what you want better than you. 

 

Because I am a solo practitioner, I offer late hours (after work),  weekends, home visits and easy access to me at all times. I am also totally connected to my email so an email written by you in the middle of the night will likely have an early morning response.

 

My firm is a full service professional practice.  Because my overhead is limited, I will provide you quality service at a fraction of the price of larger firms with a more reasonable retainer which is often less expensive and more creative than others.

 

It is important that you understand my philosophy.  There is only one of me.  Because I have a busy court practice there may be times when you are unable to get my complete attention because I am representing another client in his or her matter.  I liken it to a baseball game.  If you are "at bat" you get my total and complete attention.  If you are "on deck", you will get my total and complete attention when it is your time to bat!

 

And now something about me - I am a very proud mother of two adult daughters and know the struggles of single parenting.  My two goldens and I enjoy the outdoors and travel.

My philosophy of the practice of law is that it is ever-changing and ultimately fair.  I believe in our system of justice.  The day to day of the law can be dry and it is the clients that make it interesting and exciting.  After all these years I can still be stunned by factual situations.  The old adage that "truth is stranger than fiction" is very true in the legal arena.  Many of my former clients are now my friends because we were able to connect during our attorney client relationship.  I am a real person.  I will tell you how it is. 

 

I recently had someone indicate that they were intimidated because I am a lawyer.  No, I practice law.  I am a person., a regular "joanne" who is well positioned to assist you in your legal issues at reasonable cost.
