Maureen E. Donahue
A little about me. I'm a very proud mother of two adult daughters - one livng in the Providence area and the other in Boston. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
I live in central Connecticut but my roots are in the northwest hills of the State where I lived most of my life. I grew up in South Kent and attended Kent Center School and Housatonic Valley Regional High School. After high school, I was unsure what to do. I found myself working as a legal secretary and knew that wasn't enough for me. I studied at night and earned a degree as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal from Mattatuck Community College. From there I went to Western Connecticut State University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. In 1985 I started at the University of Connecticut School of Law and I graduated with honors in 1988. I was admitted to practice in the State of Connecticct in 1988 and the Federal court in 1989.

Initially I trained and worked at a large firm in Litchfield County. On February 1, 1996 (27 years ago!) the Law Offices of Maureen Donahue opened its doors out of my home.

Outside of the law, I am an avid traveler. If you don't find me in my office I may very well be as far away as South Korea. My children and I just got back from a whirlwind adventure in Costa Rica and yes, I did zip line!!!!

My newest passion is wine and exploring the creation of it from vine to glass. I'll keep you updated on this endeavor!

I try to stay physically active - although age does bring issues. I did run a half marathon last May and am currently training for another 10 mile run in April. Marathon? I don't know.

Oh then there's those pups! My Marni (a 6 year old Golden) and Maya (my 4 year old Golden) keep me busy and sane - or drive me crazy. You can always find me on the other side of their leash or in my office with me.
